Whereas in the past the target was often private individuals, it is now international companies. When large corporations are attacked, the potential for damage increases enormously.

What can I do?

Use an additional hardware device to protect your accounts from unauthorized attacks. Always install important security updates for your programs so that no security gaps can be exploited.
